To have a great barbecue experience, apart from preparing fresh ingredients, good maintenance and proper cleaning are also very important. Whether your barbecue grill uses charcoal, gas, or electricity, it needs to be cleaned after each use to remove bacteria and food particles stuck to the surface. Read the following simple steps to maintain your barbecue grill and upgrade your barbecue skills!

Cleaning Wholesale Barbecue Grills – Gas Barbecue Grills

1. If it's a gas barbecue grill, you need to clean the burners and tubes. Before starting each barbecue, make sure the fuel tank is turned off. Remove the barbecue coals and grill grates. Disconnect the gas tubes and burners, clean the gas tubes with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry them. Wipe the burners with a damp cloth and use a dry towel to wipe each burner's gas ports.

2. Clean the wholesale barbecue grill. Cover all gas valves with aluminum foil, clean the inside and outside surfaces of the grill with soap and warm water, then dry them. Once done, reattach the gas tubes and burners. Use a long-handled grill brush with steel bristles to scrub areas with lumpy debris.

3. Burn off grease and debris. Turn the coals over, close the lid, and heat the grill on high for 15 minutes. After cooling for 10-15 minutes, clean the grill grates with soap and water, and use a grill brush to remove all lumpy grease. Dry the grill grates and replace the coals and grates.

After each use, thoroughly brush the grill grates with a grill brush to remove all food debris and particles. Cover the grill after it cools to prevent dirt. Cover the gas tube connections to prevent insect chewing. If storing the grill outdoors, simply cover it and connect the fuel tank. If storing indoors, cover the grill and disconnect the fuel tank.

Cleaning Wholesale Barbecue Grills – Charcoal Grills

At the beginning of the barbecue season, remove all old ashes and clean the outside of the grill. Light the charcoal coals, place the grill grates over the fire, and heat for 10-20 minutes. Use a long-handled grill brush to scrub the grates and remove all adhered particles. Clean the grates to remove grease, marinades, seasonings, and melted cheese that could transfer to fresh barbecue food. If the oven has a self-cleaning function, place the grates and metal parts inside the oven and set it to self-cleaning mode. Fold a paper towel four times, dip a bit of vegetable oil or olive oil, and use tongs to apply the oil to the grates to prevent food from sticking.

After barbecuing, scrub the grill with aluminum foil or a grill brush, oil and clean it again to prevent rust. Use durable aluminum foil to wrap up the charcoal, and after cooling for 48 hours, place it in a non-combustible container. Ensure that the non-combustible container is placed away from flammable materials. A large part of keeping the grill clean is proper storage. The grill lid can protect it from rust, especially if stored outdoors.

Cleaning Wholesale Barbecue Grills – Electric Grills

After barbecuing, turn off and unplug the power, and handle the surface after it’s completely cooled. Most electric grills have a small cup for collecting juices and grease produced during grilling. It should be cleaned after each use. Wipe off any excess grease or food with a paper towel. Some models come with removable grill plates that can be washed in a dishwasher or with warm soapy water by hand. Clean the grill plates with a sponge coated with soap, being careful not to use overly abrasive cleaners.
